Salomé

single act of Oscar Wilde

I I kiss your mouth Iokanaan

I kiss your lips

This is the story of Salome, rewritten from the pen of Oscar Wilde's witty and elegant, staged by a company that decided to take up the challenge that the more vibrant a century later, this text still launches.
The slave who wants the princess, the sinner who wants the holy father's daughter, stories of impossible desires, that offenders will inevitably end up in the blood. But underlying this veil of sensuality lies a surprising attempt to escape from these tired limbs of binge eating, a voltage to a rediscovery of innocence, came a noise like the beating of wings in the corridors of the building following the words of Iokanaan. And it is this purity Salome who, like Herod seek to retain, both with the only means they know their bodies and their own prison, both defeated by the inability to leave one's role, questioning, to bow in front of a most powerful law .

reading the text of Oscar Wilde, I'm literally been caught. You are etched in my mind the images are so clear, that it was difficult to translate them into the scene. The thing that always surprises me is the complete text of this lack of communication that exists between the various characters, between the Saint, his spiritual language, and Salome, which is the layman in an absolute sense. Both express the same feeling of love, but each in their own words, and above all by themselves. What emerges is the removal of the two figures, up almost hate each other, and even to set up the emptiness of a useless sacrifice, dictated only by the caprice of power. In between Herod and Herodias one that visibly detest, but for a bizarre game of roles and circumstances, are forced to always appear in a side by side, united by the love that can unite them, the crown. Between the same Herodias and Salome as two strangers who, playing the role of mother and daughter, or between it and the King Herod, stepfather and voyeuristic young seductress. And finally among themselves invited to the banquet, speaking of facts, religion and belief is completely different and far between. The hardest work, is surely what every actor has done on himself, giving character to your character. Together, we have thoroughly analyzed the text of Wilde, trying to figure out what the real reasons pushing people to act. We have also sought to find a temporal context within which they could relive the dynamics of the palaces luxurious era before Christ, and there was spontaneous, to think of the sixties, and especially to a whole world of stars and transgression. The merger between the characters and the relationships between them are then created in a fun and light. This was easy for the relationship of trust that binds the actors of the company for several years, but mainly from a text like this one of Wilde allows you to wander among the most absurd and lively imagination, creating a world where anything can happen, from the strange delirium mystics, the most worldly perversions, to the atrocious and real head cut .
