Quartaparete wanted to go back on the scene with a new show. Why? We wondered why we wanted to do a new show, what was urgently required. We just go on stage for the sake of playing, we wanted to make a mark, sending a strong message. The texts we read does not satisfy us, still something was missing. We spent one evening to discuss what quartaparete for us, what was and what would, presumptuously perhaps become. We talked about the environment, war, human stupidity, waste of wealth and suffering. We withdrew in distress, convinced that a text does not exist. And after a week there he came across this text Durrenmatt, a text unknown even to scholars of the author, a text rarely staged, but a text that represented a full discussion of that evening. Durrenmatt seemed that he had written for us. Now we got caught by the enthusiasm he had become our text, so irreverent, so full of situations, so wonderfully present ... although written 40 years earlier. We read reread analyzed, and every time we came across in the staging of the text showed infinite subtext infinite interpretations. It 'was a difficult job, understand what it meant Durrenmatt, to understand what we wanted to convey. We set a mammoth task and efforts to simplify, reduce, simplify, get to the heart not only of meaning, but at the heart of the viewer.
